My photographic style would be best described as traditional or straight. Despite the almost unlimited editing capabilities of the digital age I find little interest in using such capabilities. I use minimal adjustments during the print making process. I rely on the photograph to speak for itself and reflect reality as it was at the time of exposure. If the creative process occurs primarily during the recording of the image then I consider it a photograph. If it occurs during the editing process than it is a digital print.

Artist Statement:

My photographic passion is to produce very high quality images for which my web site is dedicated. I use both large format (4x5) and full frame digital cameras, both of which are capable of producing the image quality I require. I am drawn to compositions that have a strong “visual dynamic” which excites the viewers eye and imagination. The image composition and the visual dynamic are generally the most important feature of my images.
